New Release Sunday: The Decembersists - Hazards of Love

I've always wanted to listen to a Decemberists album since I heard We Both Go Down Together but I never got round to it. So I was happy when I saw they had a release recently which could go in NRS. I would call these a pop band but what I seem to call pop and everyone else seems to call pop is something completely different. I'm not sure why this is. Anyway I hope you all enjoy it.

New Release Sunday: Mastodon - Crack The Skye

This week's album is Mastodon's latest offering - Crack the Skye. Personally I have never heard anything from Mastodon, so I'm looking forward to listening. I don't know if any of the others have listened, so I think this will be an interesting one. I am also interested by the 'e' on the end of Sky. This was clearly a typo.

New Release Sunday: Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavillion

New Release Sunday is where each Sunday either Alex, Ben, Dan or I suggest an album to listen to that none of us have heard before and then write a review on it. This week I have chosen Animal Collective's latest album Merriweather Post Pavillion. I have chosen this because of the unique sound of the band and the mental album cover, not to mention all the positive reviews it has gotten.
I hope everyone enjoys it.
